Since the release of his last and only recording titled, “Kalapawai Ku‘u One Hānau” in 2001, Chinky Māhoe releases his second CD in his “Kalapawai” series titled, “Kalapawai Ku‘u ʻĀina Kaulana,”showcasing his talent once again as both musician and kumu hula. “Kalapawai Ku‘u ‘Āina Kaulana” is comprised of nine original compositions in both kāhiko (old) and ‘auana (contemporary) styles featuring the haumāna of Chinky’s hālau Kawaili‘ulā and both Louis “Moon” Kauakahi & Eric Lee (formerly of the Mākaha Sons).
